Our Beginning – 2018
Founded in 2018, ICIN began as a simple website designed to guide Indians living in the Netherlands with practical information — from education and local regulations to cultural and religious resources. What started as an information platform soon evolved into a community-driven organization dedicated to cultural preservation, social support, and engagement.
ICIN Milestones (2018–2025)

🎭 2018 – Celebrating Indian Culture
In the same year, ICIN launched Discover India In Eindhoven, This annual event celebrates India’s rich diversity through music, art, and performance. Having successfully completed five editions, it has brought together thousands of people from across the country. The event is open to all and free to attend.

📚 2019 – Education & Language Preservation
In 2019, ICIN launched ICIN Education, a volunteer-led program offering free Indian language lessons to children in six Indian languages — ensuring the younger generation stays connected to their roots and culture.More than 400 students have participated in this initiative.

📖 2022 – A Global First – Indian Books Library in Eindhoven
In 2022, ICIN made global history by launching the first-ever Indian Books Collection in a local public library anywhere in the world — at the Eindhoven Library, in collaboration with the Gemeente Eindhoven. The library features a special collection of Indian children’s books in multiple languages, donated by ICIN and ProvisionHop Indian Supermarket (now Mama’s Regal).
To complement this initiative, ICIN also began Indian storytelling sessions for kids, introducing Dutch-born Indian children to traditional tales and values from India — an inspiring example of cultural integration and heritage preservation

🤝 2019–2023 – Community Support & Consular Access
During the COVID-19 pandemic, ICIN extended help to over 35 stranded Indian students across the Netherlands by providing free grocery packages — supported by Mama’s Regal Indian Supermarket and featured by local Dutch media.
Through persistent collaboration with the Indian Embassy in The Hague, ICIN helped enable postal consular services for Indian citizens in 2019, and supported the first Indian Consular Camp in Utrecht in 2023, bringing embassy services closer to residents.

🌍 2019–2023 – Cultural & Social Impact
ICIN’s community engagement has included the first live screening of an India vs Pakistan cricket match in Eindhoven and a community meet-up with the Indian Ambassador and Eindhoven’s Mayor in 2019
ICIN also launched an Entrepreneur Meetup to support and guide aspiring entrepreneursliving in the Netherlands — as well as those in India who wish to start or expand their business ventures in the Netherlands
In 2023, ICIN represented the Indian community at Eindhoven Glow, one of the world’s most renowned light festivals — showcasing Diwali, the Festival of Lights, for the first time on this international platform

💫 2024 – Community Collaboration & Growth
In 2024, ICIN partnered with Roermond Designer Outlet to organize a special Diwali Shopping Campaign for the Indian community, featuring exclusive offers and free shuttle services from The Hague, Utrecht, and Eindhoven

🎶 2025 – Strengthening Community Bonds & A New Anthem for the Community
In 2025, ICIN organized the first community trip to Radha Desh, strengthening cultural exploration and community bonding.
ICIN proudly launched “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara – Ab Videsh Mein Bana Hamara”, the first-ever community anthem created by a community center, celebrating the vibrant Indian community living in the Netherlands! 🇮🇳🇳🇱

✨ Inspired by the original “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara,” this anthem reflects the same spirit of unity and harmony — reimagined for the Indian diaspora abroad. The song carries a heartfelt message: no matter where we live, the sound of India — its languages, culture, and unity — still beats within us. ❤️
